The Good Wife, Season 6 Episode 1-Review~

Will Alicia run for states attorney?

After a long wait, The Good Wife returns with an automatic twist of Cary in jail for a drug possession. Alicia and the other partners must raise over a million dollars to bail Cary out. While this is happening, Eli is pushing for Alicia to run for states attorney.

This episode was a great start to the season and I’m really impressed with how it turned out. The one issue that I have with this episode is that there wasn’t much explanation behind the arrest. Other than that, I enjoyed this episode and I cannot wait for next weeks!

Out of a possible ten law offices, this episode of the good wife receives a 9/10!

The Maze Runner- Movie- Review~

A great movie but did little justice to the the book.

When a boy wakes up in a moving elevator, he realized he has lost his memory. When he reaches the top he is greeted by other boys, who have created a society inside of a base. However there are tall walls that surround the base and inside it is a maze. In order to survive the group must complete the maze, but it’s not as easy as it sounds to do.

The first half of the film was spot on and every little detail was perfect. The cast, the acting and even the glade all matched what I visioned it to be. However as the movie continued on I noticed a bunch of things that the movie changed and they even changed the ending which really bothered me.

However, ignoring the facts that many details were removed, the movie was really good. Out of a possible ten mazes, the maze runner movie receives an 8/10!

Finding Carter-Season 1-Review~

Imagine living a great life, having a mom who is your best friend and everything is perfect….until you find out your “mom” has been your kidnapper for the past 13 years. Carter now must adapt to her real family but every time things start to smooth over, her past is brought back in.

This show started off great, and towards the middle the episodes weren’t as great. As the season progressed however each of the episodes really did improve upon each other. I really liked that this show did deal with serious topics but it did have it’s realistic teenager type scenes.

Out of a possible ten books, the first season of finding carter receives a 8/10!

The Walking Dead- Season 2, Episode 5- No Going Back- Review~

Being tired, cold and hungry at the same time is never a good combination.

Immediately following the events from episode, the aftermath unfolds and it results in tensions among the group. It’s the start of winter and no one is prepared to deal with the extreme weather climates and the lack of food.

In my opinion, I was very pleased with this finale. It had emotional heartache, action, suspense and drama which worked well in this episode. I did notice multiple times that the words didn’t match the lips or sometimes the option I picked wouldn’t get spoken. I also wish that there were better options for some of the major events that took place. However, out of a possible ten walker heads, the season 2 finale of the walking dead game receives a 9/10!

Walking Dead Volumes Review Update

As many of you may know, during the month of July I reviewed the first seventeen volumes of the walking dead. I was suppose to receive volumes 18-21 this month and I had it planned that there would be five reviews this month. However, there has been an issue with distribution and I have yet to receive the four volumes. I plan on making up for missed reviews this month in September, and I do plan on reviewing the four volumes in September.
Thank you for understanding.

The Fifth Wave- Book- Review~

The world is coming to an end and it is coming in five different waves.

Aliens in disguise as humans makes trusting new ‘survivors’ the newest obstacle to face in this apocalypse. Cassie is an ordinary teenage girl who runs into a man, Evan Walker while she’s trying to find her missing younger brother, Sammy. Cassie must find a way to trust Evan as he’s her last hope at finding her little brother and even surviving in this world.

I was very impressed with the fifth wave. From the story lines to the action and even to the character development, it was all written perfectly and without error. The only thing that bothered me in this novel is the ending. I feel as though the ending was not satisfying as the whole book was. Other than that, this has become one of my favourite young adult novels. Out of a possible ten silencers, The Fifth Wave receives a 9/10!

The Walking Dead- Volume 17, Something To Fear- Review~

Disturbing, violent and emotional are three words I would use to describe this volume of the walking dead.

Rick and his group finally are confronted from a dangerous group, The Saviours. Rick notices that The Saviours are stronger than his group, and rather than face another war, he must now think of a way to have some sort of peace with an evil group.

The volume really went to show again how disturbing the creators can go. After having a moderately peaceful previous volume, this volume was disturbing and very violent! Out of a possible ten walkers, I give this volume of the walking dead a 9/10!

The Walking Dead- Volume 16, A Larger World- Review~

Fear, mystery and suspense are three words that I would use to describe this volume of the walking dead.

Rick finally realizes that his group are not the only survivors, and his group is also not the only friendly group. Rick must be able to put aside his past differences and try to make allies with these people if a war is about to take place.

This volume was another more relaxed issue. It did have it’s moments of suspense and question, but other than that it seemed to really set up the story for future events. Out of a possible ten walkers, this volume of the walking dead receives a 9/10!

The Walking Dead- Season 2, Episode 4- Amid The Ruins- Review~

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse for Clementine and the group…

Immediately following the events from the last episode, Clementine and her group must find safety and warmth. The winter season is coming, and the group is running dangerously low on food, water, and warm clothing. Through the ups and downs, the group must move forward to survive.

I was really impressed with this episode as there was rarely a dull moment. There were times however I faced some terrible lag delays which made me have to pick options quicker than I would like. I also feel that many of the deaths were not necessary and not portrayed properly. With the ending of this episode I am really scared for the season finale…out of a possible ten walkers, this episode of the walking dead game receives a 8/10!

The Walking Dead-Volume 15, We Find Ourselves- Review~

Sad, scary and emotional are three words I would use to describe this volume of the walking dead.

The group and the town are recovering from the recent herd of walkers storming into their safe haven. Tempers rise high from the original people in the town as they think Rick is trying to kill them off and make the town for his people only.

I really enjoyed this volume as it moved at a perfect speed, everything was explained and it it was full of action and it was just a calmer volume. Out of a possible ten walkers, I give this volume of the walking dead a perfect 10/10!
